Amanda and I particpate in the link party, High Five for Friday, from Lauren Elizabeth's blog. Head on over to Lauren Elizabeth for more "High Five for Friday." We're taking part in this fun reflection each week and hopefully you will too! |
I am SO happy Friday is finally here. Friday, I really do love you. My favorite parts of this week:
1. Weekend love with family. I started last Saturday off visiting my brother and talking with him about new business opportunities. He has launched two successful businesses in the last two years and he inspires me in more ways than you can imagine. He really rocks. Enough said. We also celebrated my sister's birthday last Saturday night at her house in New Jersey. I live for these days/nights and look forward to them all week. In my eyes, there's nothing like spending time with family and being surrounded by them. I soaked up every second of our family time together.
2. My one-of-a-kind brother-in-law. He's earning his way to a full-post solely about him. In the meantime, this guy deserves a spot on the "High Five for Friday" list. Inspired by his New Years Eve dance-off, we created a group version of the Harlem Shake on Saturday night in their basement. He's the mastermind behind the whole thing and an expert at editing the film. Here's a snapshot of the clip, which my sister has begged me not to post. We had fun dressing up. Check out my brother-in-law, Kevin, as he dances with a mask and a panda-shaped pillow. He also created a time lapse of our family night. More about that later. HE ROCKS! I'm sure you have 1,000 questions about this picture...
3. Face Time with Rosie on her birthday. Rosie's birthday was Wednesday and although I dedicated a blog post to her, I couldn't wrap up my week without mentioning our fun Face Time chat Wednesday night. It really stinks not having them live closer to us, for so many reasons, but Face Time is the best invention ever to help fix that situation.
4. A week of "light dinners." I've blogged about balancing the stress of cooking and cleaning every night. I'm not fulfilling my housewife duties very well. Womp-womp. This week we decided to go light on dinners each night and it felt so good. Not a lot of prepping, cooking, or cleaning up.
5. Being featured on Creative-Geekery and Fry Sauce and Grits. The best part of my week! As you know, Amanda and I take part in link parties each week and we were FEATURED ON BOTH yesterday! My post about #100daysofhappy was featured on Creative-Geekery and Amanda's post about Being Kind was featured on Fry Sauce and Grits. We were both shocked and soooo happy! What an honor! Thank you, Creative-Geekery and Fry Sauce and Grits!
