Two Things to Share

The other night I blogged about falling in love with Listography and I promised I would share more. I fell upon Papered Thoughts blog through Instagram and immediately fell in love. I won't lie, the Washi tape totally hooked me in. :-) What is Listography? Well, the art of making lists, of course! Rin, owner of the blog Papered Thoughts, creates the prettiest of lists in her 365 journal. The lists are so cool, so different, and it felt like a project that I'd love to try out. I love scrapbooking, I love journaling, and I love being creative... right up my alley!

The 365 journal that Rin uses is the perfect unique keepsake for documenting a year in your life...365 numbered pages. Record anything on those pages: thoughts, inspiration, ideas, funny moments... lists! The journal reminds me of our blog because our motto is all about sharing moments for 365 days.

As I browsed Rin's Papered Thoughts blog further, I quickly noticed her love for snail mail. Her envelopes are to die for. One of the goals on my 30 Before Thirty Challenge list is to send more snail mail to my loved ones each month. Making these super cute envelopes would surely put a huge smile on anyone's face. Who doesn't love to receive fun mail, especially mail decorated like that?! And how about her handwriting... swoon!

Check out Papered Thoughts blog or follow her on Instagram...her posts will brighten your day!

My second thing to share tonight is SAD but will totally touch your heart. I found the story on People.com and wanted to skip over it because I knew it would make me cry, but I couldn't resist. Read the story and watch the video. It was published today and already has 12,000 likes on Facebook.

Josie Zetz is 11 years old. Her father, Jim, has stage IV pancreatic cancer, which means he might not see her next birthday, much less her wedding. With the knowledge that Jim would likely not be around to walk Josie down the aisle, local photographer Lindsey Villatoro decided to make a lifelong memory for the pair on Josie's 11th birthday. With support from friends and strangers, Villatoro put on a special "daddy-daughter" ceremony, complete with a wedding cake, presents and a bridal dress for Josie.
