About Amanda

Daughter. Sister. Auntie. Friend. Teacher….blogger.  I am a 30 year old woman who lives each day to find the beauty all around me.

I grew up in a close-knit family in the suburbs of New York City in Westchester County, NY.  I attended public school and went on to college close to home.  Which is where I met Dawn!  After 5 long (but successful!) years of college, I graduated with a BA in Childhood Education and a MSEd in Literacy.  I have been a reading specialist, as well as a second grade teacher.  I currently teach third grade.

I spend my non-teaching time with family, friends, shopping, decorating my beautiful, new apartment, pinning on Pinterest, creating DIY projects and reading chick lit.  So far, I have not yet met my prince charming.  When I find him, I’ll let you know.  In the meantime, I’m living life on my own, learning more about myself each and every day.

This blog has pushed me to be more observant of my surroundings, and more thankful for the ordinary moments of my life.  I’m so excited to be documenting life’s greatest moments!

About Dawn

I'm a family girl, newlywed, tenured teacher, blogger, scrapbook extraordinaire and lover of DIY projects.

I grew up in Westchester, NY with my loving parents and three siblings; a family unit of six. We're extremely close and they are my backbone. As I grow older, I realize that the moments I spend with them make up the best moments of my life.

I currently reside in Danbury, CT with my high school sweetheart/husband. We met during my freshman year of high school at an ice skating rink. We had a fairytale wedding in August and he knows me better than anyone else.

My inspiration for this blog was fueled by the urge to keep my creative juices flowing and to tap into my hobbies that typically get stored away for 10 months when I'm teaching. I hope that you enjoy reading our posts and sincerely hope that we brighten your day.

About 730 Moments to Share

It is our goal to take ordinary moments, and make them absolutely incredible. Each of us lives our day as teachers, which at times can be stressful.  We started this blog to stop and observe each moment, and live in it.  We hope to inspire you to do the same thing!

We met in college at Pace University in a core Psychology class.  After completing a group project in class, we became close friends, sharing our dreams of becoming teachers and discussing what "real life" would be like.  We've been friends through breakups, weddings, birthdays, tough times at work and everything in between.

Our blog began in January 2014 over a cup of coffee in a freezing cold Starbucks.  We wrote our ideas on a napkin, and the rest is history.
