Happy Birthday Rosie: Every girl should have a big sister like YOU!

Today is my sister’s birthday and I have to say that I can’t imagine my life without her... my big sister. 

I've learned so many valuable lessons over the years from her..and even though I'm nearing 30, she still continues to teach me new things and inspires me in so many ways. I worshiped her when I was a little girl and I still continue to idolize her today.

Having a sister is a precious luxury. She will always be that person that you can share your deepest secrets with. You can always count on her to be there to share the difficult mountains that you may have to climb and those surprising moments of joy. She’s almost always the first one I call crying and she always says, in her most calm and sincere voice, “Dawn, don’t worry, it’s going to be ok.”

Every girl should have a big sister like her.

A birthday is just another excuse to tell your sister why she will always be your favorite person. Here are some reasons why having a sister, like Rosie, is the greatest gift in the world:

-Since I was born, my sister has been my best friend, my inspiration, my strength. I wanted to be like her and copied everything she did. She hated it. I was her shadow. ;)

-She’s my mirror shining back at me with a world of possibilities and always encourages me when I need it most.

-She’s my witness who sees me at my worst, but loves me anyway. She gives me strength when I feel down and pushes me to accomplish everything. 

-She’s my partner in crime, my midnight companion, and knows when I’m smiling, even in the dark.

-She teaches me to keep an open mind, to see the best in people, and to enjoy the small things, always.

-She's my teacher, my defense attorney, my personal press agent, and even my shrink.

There's no better friend than a sister, and no better sister than you!!
