Running errands

Today I left work early (meaning I didn't stay long after the kids left; I left on time!) to run errands and to cross a few items off of my to-do list.

I find it difficult to rush around after work. Do you? Am I the only one that feels this way? Firstly, everyone is on the road with you, attempting to get home as soon as possible. The highway can be a scary place to travel during rush hour! Second, it gets dark so early around this time and it feels much later than it really is. I become much sleepier, especially with the heat pumping in the car! And finally, as soon as I leave school, I dream of going home and changing into comfy clothes. I always tell my colleagues that they wouldn't recognize me outside of school due to my love for sweats! :-)

Running errands after school=coming home during dinner time. I walked into the smell of pasta sauce simmering and my husband in the kitchen. Although I was incredibly grateful that he was cooking, my hunger pangs got the best of me and I immediately muttered "I'm in a bad mood." Poor guy. I HATE when that happens! "I'm sorry for what I said when I was hungry." He understood! Just another reason why running errands after school isn't the best idea for me. Stop procrastinating, Dawn!
