Happy Earth Day: My Garden of Gratitude

In honor of Earth Day, I wanted to write about something that I'm thankful for.  The Earth provides us with so many different things.  We're given the gift of life here.  We're able to experience joy, love and excitement on this planet, and we owe it to the Earth to say thank you.  Tonight's post was inspired through this video:

I dedicate this flower to...
My parents.

My parents helped me grow in so many different ways throughout the course of my life.  They let me navigate through each stage of my childhood, teens and young adult years as best I could.  They were the shoulder to cry on, the hand to hold, the cheerleading section, and the ones who said "go for it" when I needed it most.  They stood by my side, holding their breath when they knew that perhaps my choices weren't so great, but were also there when I needed them to catch me as I fell.  They have been there for me during new beginnings, and have been supportive all the way.  They have been my rock, and I'm not sure where I would be today if it weren't for them.  It's because of my parents that I've grown into a successful, independent woman who has achieved more in life than I could have ever imagined.

Thank you, Mom and Dad, for helping me grow.  The flower in my gratitude garden belongs to you.

I love you!

Happy Earth Day!
