Super Bowl & Game Night Suggestions

Yes, the Super Bowl party was fun. Yes, I watched the whole thing. And yes, my favorite part was the half time show.

Top 4 highlights:

1. Football game:  I didn't like the blow out. The mishap with the coin toss started it off and I think it jinxed the whole game. Poor Broncos. :( Congratulations Seahawks!

2. Halftime show with Bruno Mars: I LOVE Bruno! One of the best half time shows I've seen in a very long time. Amazing opening on the drums and awesome choice of songs. Loved every minute, especially the end with the fireworks and "Just the Way You Are."

3. Commercials: I wasn't impressed with the commercials this year. Were you? What happened? I did, however, LOVE the Budweiser commercial with the horse and dog. I'm an animal lover and my heart melted. So precious! #bestbuds

4. Food: We had lots of it and I tried every single thing. All comfort foods. I stuffed my face. Enough said!

In the spirit of the Super Bowl and games... do you need a few suggestions for your next gathering? Not for the next Super Bowl... for any fun gathering you plan to host!

Three fun games to keep the party going:

1. "Heads Up" app (created by Ellen DeGeneres) - this app is so much fun! It's the "charades-like" game that Ellen plays on her show, and now you can play it with your friends too! It'll be the best dollar you've ever spent! The best part of the app? It automatically records a video of you and your friends playing the game, so that you can laugh a lot later, too!

2. Two Truths and a Lie - each person writes down 2 truths and 1 lie about themselves. Read each out loud and decide on what the lie is. Not only do you learn fun stuff about your friends, but you share many laughs too!

3. Minute to Win it - This used to be a TV show, but since it's no longer on, you can still find the challenges on their website or YouTube. The best thing about these challenges is that they almost always involve items from around the house, so they're easy to put together and implement. These challenges become very competitive, but are so, so fun! One of my favorites is "noodling around." Check it out on YouTube!
